Bout of Books Wrap Up

I have learned a lesson to not try to do a readathon during a vacation. Especially if that vacation is on a cruise ship where there is a lot of activities to do other than reading. Plus I didn’t have any internet unless I wanted to pay for it.
Anyway onto my wrap up I finished one book and that’s Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick and Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephaine Perkins. I read half of Whispers at Moonrise by c.c. Hunter and have read 88 pages of Stolen Songbird by Danielle L. Jensen.
I hope everyone had a good bout of books and probably did better than me but there is always next time.

Until next time happy reading bookworms 😊

Tomorrow????

Tomorrow and the rest of the week is going to be busy for me. First off its the beginning of the bout of books readathon 11. I can’t wait for this however I’ll be on a cruise for the whole time. Am hoping to get some reading done since this trip is supposed to be a break from everything. However I can’t make any promises but I will get some done but not as much as I would probably like.
So the readathon anyone ready for it. Good luck to all those going participating tomorrow or at midnight and see you at the end of the week.
Happy Reading 🙂

Would You Rather Tag

I’ve always enjoyed watching and reading tags on both YouTube and other people blogs. So i thought i would do the would you rather tag since this one seems simple enough.

1. Only be able to read trilogies or stand-alones?

Am not that big fan of stand-alones only because I never like a story to end, so trilogies will always be my favorite. Like hello the infernal device trilogy by Cassandra Claire best ever.

2. Female or Male author?

I don’t care who writes the books as long as the story is good so go for both.

3.Shop at B&N OR Amazon?

I like both however Amazon is a cheaper price then B&N most of the time.

4.All books become movies or tv shows?

Movie though i always am terrible when watching them because I always voice the differences. Reason why no one wants to go to the a book/movie adaptation with me.

5. Read 5 pages a day or 5 books a week?

I would love to be able to finish 5 books in a week, however 5 pages seem more reality especially how my readings been lately.

6. be a professional reviewer or writer?

realistic i would be a  reviewer for the fact that though i have concept ideas for a book I could never get it down right on paper.

7.Only be able to read your 20 favorite books or only read new ones?

New one definitely I would get so tired of my favorites that i would forget why i loved them so much and may hate them. Plus who knows i may fine new favorites to love.

8. Be a librarian or bookseller?

Librarian of course. I say that for the fact that I love books and would love to teach that to others so they can enjoy the same adventures that other book lovers do.

9. Only read from your favorite genre or from everything but your favorite genre?

Everything but my favorite genre. I say that I don’t want to get tired of that genre so from different genre would be good for me.

10. Physical or E-book?
I have both yet I still love physical books especially paperbacks. They fit perfectly in my purse.

Well that’s the Would You Rather Tag and if you haven’t done this tag yet you should its fun. And if you have leave a comment and possibly a link so i can check out yours. I would love to see different responses to these questions.

Until next time happy reading bookworms

Review: FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell

Title: FANGIRL
Author: Rainbow Rowell
Genre: YA Contemporary
Publisher: St. Martins Griffin (2013)
Page Count: 427
Rating: 5/5
Summary: Cath is crazy about two things writing Simon Snow fanfiction and her twin sister Wren. That was until they went off to college and Wren left to do her own thing. Now Cath has to figure out how to stand on her own two feet, and learn how to survive college and grain some independence from her twin sister.
My Thought:
The thing about contemporaries is that authors love living things open ended. FANGIRL was no exception. First off I’ve enjoyed this book more than I liked Eleanor and Park which seems to be a common thought.
This story is about Cath and she’s about to go off to college wit her twin however her twin Wren wants to do her own thing without her. Now Cath is alone and doesn’t know what to do with herself. From the first page to the last one you see such a growth in Cath where she went from being dependent to standing up for herself. And I believe that was thanks to Levi and Reagan.
Both character brought Cath out of her comfort zone, and showed her how to enjoy college more. Especially Levi he is a talker and all around happy guy, but he is a great character. My favorite scene is the the Outsider read all nighter. This is when things changed and over my favorite book to was just a bonus.
Rainbow Rowell sure know how to write a coming of age book even if two more chapters would have been awesome. However I loved this book and will be reading it again and again.
Happy reading to all the bookworms out there.

Stacking the shelves

This is meme that Tynga’s reviews and its to show a new books that i recently got. I only got three  books at the thrift store and its a full trilogy so yeah:).

Stacking the Shelves

I’ve been wanting to read the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke  since I’ve been hearing so many good things about it. If you don’t know what this trilogy is about a cruel night where a father was reading to her daughter Meggie out loud and the evil ruler Capricorn came out of the book and landed in their living room. Now Meggie becomes apart of these adventure that she every read about in fairy tales. Showhow she must master the magic of this nightmare and put things back they way they where. The first book Inkheart and Inkspell are the both paperback, and Inkdeath was in hardback. I can’t wait to read this trilogies and get what the hype is over these books.

Ambitious August TBR

Okay the reason I call my TBR ambitious for the fact am going to be joining three different read a thons one after another. Plus am planning on going on vacation in two weeks and won’t be able to bring any of my physical. However i will have my e-reader so i will still be reading some.

the first one was started by @thebookishair is the rainbow read-a-thon that’s between August 2-9 and you choose your tbr according to the colors. These are my choice:

#rainbowreadathon

RED: Cinder by Marissa Meyers

GREEN: FANGIRL by Rainbow Rowell

ORANGE: Wasteland by Susan Kim & Laurence Klavan

YELLOW: Mr. Penumbra’s 24- Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan

BLUE: Weather Witch by Shannon Delany

PURPLE: Taken at Dusk by c.c. hunter

Next up is started by @bribookishconfessions is the the feels read- a- thon and the dates for this one is August 10-17. These read a thon is about finishing book series that you need to finish but haven’t gotten to yet. There are a lot of books but i don’t plan on getting through all these just ideas:

thefeelingreadathon

silence and finale by Becca Fitzpatrick (book # 3, #4 in the hush hush series)

torn and ascend by Amanda Hocking (book #2, #3 in the Trylle series)

The Calling and The Rising by Kelley Armstrong (book #2,book #3 in the Gathering series)

Phoenix and Wings by Elizabeth Richards (book#2, book#3 Black City series)

And last but not least the Bout of Books 11 read-a-thon which am exicted for. I believe that whatever i don’t read will be finished in this last read-a-thon of the month.

So as you can see am being a little ambitious this month but am ready for it i really need a good reading month so cross you’re fingers that this is it. What are you guys reading for the month of August and is as crazy as mine. Lol. Anyway like usual Happy Reading 🙂
