I’ll be putting up my goals closer to the actual date so loon forward to that.
Haven’t really done anything Christmas related for December so in-between reading I’ll be doing holiday tags that I find for the rest of the month. This first one I found at my favorite place and that’s BookTube.
1. Half of the lights on the Christmas tree are burnt out : Name a book/series/character that started out good but then went downhill. I have to say Across the Universe by Beth Revis I really enjoyed the first book, however when it came to the second book A Million Suns I found the main girl Amy way more annoying.
2. Annoying Great Aunt Sally who will not leave you alone : Name a book that you didn’t enjoy, but everyone else seems to love so it never goes away. That has to Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins. I enjoyed parts of it especially the end, but most of the time I wanted to hit Harper Price for the stupid things she says and do. 3. Your pets keep knocking over the Christmas decoration : Name a character that kept messing things up for everyone else (can’t pick a villain!). The Selection by Kirea Cass. All the girls are trying to up one another for the chance with to be with Prince Maxon so that they can become a princess. 4. You hear your parents putting out the presents and learn Santa isn’t real: Name a book you were spoiled for. A Million Suns by Beth Revis I was going to give it a try even if I didn’t overly enjoy the second book. However before I could get to reading it I found about some big deaths that I couldn’t handle so I haven’t picked it up. 5. It’s freezing outside: Name a main character you just couldn’t connect with. That would have to be Harper Price by Rachel Hawkins. She was a prep person and i just couldn’t grow to like her. 6. Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ and it’s giving you anti-romantic feelings : Name a couple you couldn’t stand. The insant love between Wendy Everly and Finn Holmes bugged the crap out of me. It was she fall for him first, and then later he fell for her. But reading about her thoughts of him really bugged me to much to not overly enjoy the story. 7. That scratchy homemade wool sweater you got for Christmas years ago but won’t get rid of : show some books that have been sitting on your shelves for a while, and you aren’t motivated to read, but you don’t have the heart to get rid of. I have three books of Kristen Higgins and there contemporary romances I’ve read one book of but haven’t gotten to the others. 8. Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer: Name a character death you still are mad about (warn people for spoilers! You can also use TV or movie deaths). If you haven’t read the Maze Runner by James Dashner then I won’t say. However that last death at the end pretty much broke my heart. 9. The malls are overly crowded with holiday shoppers: Name a series that has too many books in it/went on too long. I haven’t finished this series but the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is to damn long. There is currently 22 books out I believe with no end in sight. 10. The Grinch : Name a main character you HATE (No villians again!). Like the Grinch Benny Imura from Rot & Ruin by Jonathan Maberry. He was at first annoying and really childish in his anger toward his brother. However by the end his attitude changed and he became a better person for it.
I enjoyed doing this tag and if your up for it do the tag yourself and watch the original video. Let me know if you done the tag and I’ll talk to you soon.
1. It’s time for your annual Ugly Sweater party! Choose five characters to invite. my party would consist of the funny characters like the Wesley twins(Harry Potter), Puck(the iron fey series), Tucker (Unearthy), Will, and Magnus (the immortal instrument).
2. Your guests are on their way over. What book are you likely to gift this holiday season? My copy of Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I want to read the book but I need a new copy of it. So I can gift the other to someone else. 3. Someone spiked your punch. Choose a book that gave you a book hangover. Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong. I finished that book and just couldn’t get into a new book book right away. 4. You must prevent coaster stains from your awesome coffee table! Choose a book you really don’t care if it gets used as a coaster. Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. I feel bad about it but I don’t overly care for the book. 5. The guests are hungry! Pick a book/world whose food you would serve your guests. I would choose Hogwarts good because I know there will be plenty and vary food choices. 6. It’s time for presents. Choose a book you are most excited about getting this Christmas. I would love to get books for christmas, but know it’s not happening . But if I could I want Kiss of Deception because I’ve really wanted to read it. 7. Things start getting out of hand and suddenly your books are EVERYWHERE! Choose a book/series you would save AT ALL COSTS! The Shadow Falls series. It’s middle grade but have really good and I love the series. 8. After a long night, you need to unwind with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book. What book calms you down? Contemporary books don’t make me as crazied as other book genres.
I have a physical hardback however I more listening to it thanks to audible. Am currently listen to this as I write this, and 38% done with it. And my thoughts so far is that I like the mystery that’s happening, but not so much the rest of the book. It’s not that I don’t like The Rithmatist am just confused that’s all. I’ll be finishing this book hopefully sometimes today (fingers crossed) then I’ll have the struggle to find my next book.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and read a plenty. Me I’ll be lucky to get reading doing for i have to work, but that were audible can hopefully be handy.

This is the story about Wrath the blind king vampire and Beth a orphan that is stuck in a rut.Because of a promise to Beth’s dad Wrath promised to help Beth with her change until a vampire and got more than they both planned on.
I enjoyed this book even though I was looking for more action there was some but it was quick and then over. Which is a bummer since I would of liked more of the fight between the Brotherhood and the Lesser. Instead all the fighting seemed to happen between Wrath and Beth.
Which I guess is normal if you come to realize that your father was a vampire, was close, and soon would be one to. Plus Wrath is very closed off which again is understandable with things you find out about his past. I enjoyed the romance between Wrath and Beth though it was let’s have sex then I want nothing to do with you then rinse and repeat. Wrath and Beth separate is cool for they are both hard headed but so needed the other.
Another save in these book is the other Black Dagger brothers. They have a lot of character in each one and their own back stories that makes me want to continue the series. All are dark and terrifying and yet they bound together to take out the Lessers who seem to multiply like bunnies.
Speaking of Lessers the leader Mr. X is scary thinker. He thinks things through and looks at all the angels. And even though I want the Brotherhood to win I would like to see where Mr. X takes this war. It would be cool to find out.
I have a hard time with adult books which is funny since I started out reading it before young adult. However am glad I gave this book a try and I have the next two books in these series. so hopefully I’ll read them soon, and see if I can get more interested as the books go on.
