Horizon has been destroyed. Noah is missing. Now time to road trip to find some answers. So now Mara with a couple of friends are traveling from Florida to New York trying to find answers. While using there “gifts” along the way.
Note: there is a different from the third to the other two. First off its shorter than the others. Plus its lighter cover. So when all three are put together they look funky. Will to me anyway.
So to continued on and enjoyed from where I stopped off. Then never stopped like what usually when I read these books. Even though there was no Noah until the end it made sense, and I wasn’t that disappointed. The story was pretty much a road trip between Mara, Jamie, and Sophie. With the help of mostly of Jamie they were able to get a travel, stay at hotels, and just get around where they need. They went road tripping to try and figure out about more about Horizon and how they have these unique gifts.
As the story progressed Mara got dark at times which was so called for. She was defending herself and her friends even if some don’t believe it. I loved that in the end that Mara has come to except herself and know that there is nothing wrong with her. I mean yes she can make things happen with just thoughts. However she learns its something she can do and live with it. Jamie was the best he just was needed to keep things a little lighter. Sophie was annoying she wanted a cure and couldn’t understand that current things can’t be controlled.
To have a history lesson on some of the characters and how they became what they are now was interesting. The flashbacks to Mara’s grandmother past was annoying at some points, however was needed to get the whole story. And what a story I knew Dr. Kell was a sick person however she is worse. So if you thinks she’s sick after the second book read this one. Because you learn that she’ll do plenty of cold things for the cause. Plus at the end we meet a character that we have heard of, but haven’t seen before. The end was the best not just because Noah returned, but that so much happens.
The Mara Dyer trilogy will probably always be my favorite. For the fact that it had a dark element to it and that it took me by surprise. Cant wait to see what Michelle Hodkins will come out next after this.
Has anyone read this trilogy and if so what did you think? I would love to see this for I know some people disliked this book and some loved it. Just wanted to know which boat you was in? Also how would you order the books from favorite to least?
Thanks for reading:)
