FRIDAY READ: Crash Trilogy by Nicole Williams

Am currently in a contemporary kick apparently and Crash, Clash, and Crush is a trilogy that’s been on my shelf forever. So I decided its time to see what these books are about and if they will be staying on my shelf.  So that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend when am not working.

If you don’t know about this trilogy its about a good girl named Lucy Larson meets bad boy Jude Ryder. Two teenagers named after Beetle song trying to get through high school, family, and Jude’s mood swings.

Am currently on the first book Crash and am enjoying the book so far and will be continuing on.So that is my current and weekend reads. thanks for looking and keep reading. ūüôā

Friday Read including TBR Takedown 2.0

yes am still trying to read even if it’s slow going. My current read is Cruel Beauty a Beauty and the Beast Retelling by Rosamund Hodge. Am only a little over 100 pages and waiting for more. I’ll most likely be reading this during the TBR Takedown because I know I won’t finish it today.

And speaking of Takedown TBR

Up above is my TBR pile that I can hopefully will get through. the read-a-thon last from the 25th to the 31st.  The first two books in the Under the Never Sky are re-reads. Hopefully I can get through them so that I can finally see how it ends in Into the Still Blue. Maybe Somday will be my second Colleen Hoover book. Hope to enjoy it. And I’ve already said my peace on Cruel Beauty so wish me luck.

On this read-a-thon am doing a page count  instead of books. Reason being I’ll probably just read a little here and there It would be simpler. So anyway like I said wish me luck on these and let me know if your joining in. If you are use the #tbrtakedown on Twitter to find others who are joining in.

T5W: Side Characters That Deserve Their Own Series

1. Kenji from the Shatter Me trilogy. I have been saying this since the second book and I know plenty of others as well. Kenji is just a great character he’s loyal to the Omega Point, and a great friend to Juliette. Plus he has a wicked sense of humor. Why wouldn’t anyone want to see more of that in book form.

2. Roar from Under the Never Sky. I love Roar in this trilogy so I need at least one book. Other than a novella I wouldn’t mind more of him.

3. Jamie from the unbecoming of mara dyer trilogy. Please just please. He didn’t have much of part in the first two books. However I still would love to just enjoy a book on Jamie.

4.Meredith and Rashmi from Anna and the French Kiss. I know a two-fer.I would like to see what happened to them after Anna and the French Kiss.

Inside Out Book Tag

This has been going around mostly booktube in honor of the new Disney movie Inside Out. Its based on the 5 emotions that’s inside Riley’s head. So the original creater Kristina Horner made up these 5 questions. Lets have fun.

Joy: What book gives you the most joy?

In Death series by J.D. Robb. Am loving this series as I keep saying over probably to much. These books I don’t know why put me in such a great mood.

Sadness: The book that had you crying?

I haven’t cried since reading the Book Thief last year.

Fear: the book that scared you the most?

the retribution of mara dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I was scared for the fact that Mara  was going dark when they on the run.

Disgust: What book grossed you out the most?

The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd is not an overly grossed book however there are parts that was gross to me.

Angry: A book that made you most angry?

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover for the fact that it wasn’t as good as I would thought it would have been.

So that’s the tag simple and easy so if you want to try it out have a go at it. And if you’ve seen the movie who’s your favorite emotion?? My has to be angry.

Making Up for Monday

Topic: If you could meet any book character, who would it be and why?

If I meet this character it would not be a friendly meet up. When I read this question for some reason my answer was quick. Its probably because I just saw Insurgent and so I guess that could  be a reason.

So if I meet Peter this would happen..

He is the most two face person I’ve ever seen. Its all about Peter and when one side was doing better than the other he flipped flop. So if I was to meet Peter he would get a punch in the face. Since he doesn’t die than a hit will do.

Thanks for reading and if you agree or disagree leave a comment. Also if you could meet a fictional character what would you do?

happy reading ūüôā

Mid- Year Book Freak Out Tag

I’ve seen this tag around mostly on Booktube then anywhere, however I decided to bring it to my blog. So here are my answers for the tag.

1.Best book you’ve read so far in 2015. Aristotle and Dante Discover the¬†Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Hands down¬†¬†it made me smile, rave and everything good I look in a book.

2.Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2015. The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michele¬†Hodkins. I know that plenty of people weren’t happy with the ending, However I did so I was happy.

3.New release you haven’t read, yet but want to. Empire of Night by Kelley Armstrong which is the sequel to¬†the Sea of Shadows. I really¬†want to get on with this trilogy and see what’s happening next.

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year. Winter by Marissa Meyers. I need to know how Cinder and the gang are going to stop Queen Levana on her own turf.

5. Biggest disappointment. Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. This was my first Colleen Hoover and I was disappointed to see how predictable it was.

6. Biggest surprise. I’ve heard so much on this book that I was scared I wouldn’t like it. However when I read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas the hype is actual worth it.

7. Favorite new author. Stacey Marie Brown. I haven’t read many of her books but I do like how she writes paranormal adult books.

8. Newest fictional crush. Roake from In Death series by J.D. Robb. I smile every time I think about Roake and his Irish ascent.

9. Newest favorite character. Kestrel for the Winners trilogy by Marie Rutkoski. She is so smart and such a good stagiest. I love how strong she is using her brain then actual muscle.

¬†10. Book that made you cry. I haven’t cried yet this year over a book and am not much of a crier anyway so no surprise.

11. Book that made you happy. That would have to be In Death series by J.D. Robb. I don’t know why but listening/reading this series always put me in a good mood and happy.

12. Favorite book to film adaptation you saw this year. Only adaption I watched was the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. I know that people don’t enjoy these books. But I do so I enjoyed seeing it on film. Even though it made me laugh a lot on the parts I remembered in the book being on screen.

13. Favorite review you’ve written this year. (Booktube version: Favorite video you have done so far in this year.) My review on Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe. I really worked on hard on that review.

14. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received). The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. I just think the cover is really pretty.

15. What books do you need to read by the end of the year? I need to read a lot books if I can get more reading done then recent then I’ll be happy. Especially my series’ they just seem to be getting out of control.

That was some what painless though some I had to think on. Yes there is duplicates but I haven’t had the best reading month so had to work with what I got. Hope you enjoyed this tag if you did please give it a like or a comment.

Until next time have a good day book nerds.

Newest Buy

Okay I was waiting until this book came in to make this post. I know that I’ve said I don’t like to read hyped books which this book has since it came out. However the reason I want to read this is for the fact it is a retelling of sorts. Plus I love the cover is beautiful. So thanks to B&N coupon I got The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh.

¬†¬†Haven’t heard of this book I’ll be surprised. Anyway its about a revenge¬†story about a girl trying to revenge her good friend from a¬†king who is apparently killing his new brides.¬†Now she¬†goes to become his new bride¬†to find out answers and maybe give the¬†king a test of is own medicine.

See how pretty it is I love the purple.  And though I got multiply books going on right now I believe am just going to start this one. So dang excited okay time to go read.
