So This Weekend Am….

TBR piles are a funny thing. Especially since there are so many formats to read and buy books from. It can be very addicting if not watched. My TBR has grown in physical, e-books, and even audible which makes me seem a little crazed. However how can you pass up a book for 2.99 or less even though you know you wont be reading it anytime soon. Or the fact that I may already have that book in another format. Plus I love Book Outlet and Amazon Marketplace for my book deals. So this weekend am going to take all my papers for my TBR, and organize it with sheet documents. Its going to take the weekend and possible later in the week. It should be fun (major sarcasm) lucky enough I have nothing else to do this weekend. So wish me luck on this adventure of trying to get my TBR organized.

Just as a side note I have:

227-e-books

89-hardbacks

107-paperbacks

And that doesn’t even include the ones I have in other formats. YEAH ME!!!

My Current Reads is Growing Everday

So I haven’t been finishing books that often. My current reads pile has been growing more than anything else which is a pain. Okay so my summaries are the worse but its how I do reviews. So please bare with them and the reasons behind not finishing my books.

1.Wings by Aprilynne Pike 13%

So the story is based on Laurel who has been homeschooled until her Sophomore year. Now Laurel has to get used to public school and being around kids. Until weird things started happening to her starting with a bump on her back. Just started this book through e-book. Its been on my e-book TBR for awhile and I have heard a lot of good things about it. I usual don’t like high school books for the drama that happens in them that I don’t think is necessary. However this book is so far is good enough that I want to keep reading.

2. The Martian by Andy Weir 8%

This is going to be a movie and sounds really cool how a man named Mark Watney becomes the first person to be stuck on Mars. The story is about how he comes to survive Mars and get over the struggles he face. Like water, food, and air. I don’t really know about this book I enjoy the humor behind it and the fact that Mark has to think on his feet with what he has. However there is so much Science and things that I don’t understand that drives me a little insane.

3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor 60%

This is about Karou  who is a art student by day and a teeth collector at night. That was until handprints started showing up on doorways and Karou ends up on her own trying to make her way back. Am still reading this book and to me its starting to seem like City of Bones in the how long it takes me to read this book. This book is good but I put it down and haven’t really thought about picking it up just yet.

4. The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski 71%

I keep going back and forth with this book. This is a book about a girl named Camryn Bennett who has enough of her life and gets on a bus to anywhere. I didn’t know this was a road trip book when I first started this. Or that it was told in both Camryn and Andrews POV. However I love both of these characters and enjoy reading about there adventure. I really want to take a road trip now.

5. Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning  65%

This is about a girl names MacKayla who goes to Ireland to find out who killed her older sister after getting a frantic voicemail from her. And what MacKayla gets when she lands is more than she bargained for. I keep borrowing this from the library thanks to Overdrive and at first I flew this book but I guess I went to fast. Because with only like one hundred and eight pages left and I just haven’t.

6. Soulless by Gail Carriger 40%

Alexia Tarabotti has three problems going for her. One she is soulless, two Alexia is a spinster, and third she is Italian. However when weird things start to happen with supernatural with her right in the middle. With the help of Lord Maccon Alexia tries to find out what is happening.  Another back and forth read for me that am e-booking. The story is set in the 1870s England and apparently this is not a good time period for me. I enjoy the humor though between Alexia and Lord Maccon. However that’s all I like as of current with this book.

7.Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge 75%

A beauty and the beast re-telling with a little a dark plot line rolled into one. I stopped reading this for the fact that the little sister ticked me off. She is spoiled rotten and I rather that Nix didn’t go back home for her family is madding. Though she did tell them off somewhat so that’s something.

8.A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin 24%

This book will probably be a current reads forever. Two chapters a month is how far I get. Everyone know what this book is about and so I’ll just say I’ve enjoyed what I have read so far.

9.Doon by Carey Corp 71%

Time traveling with two best friends as they were visiting Ireland for the summer. I loved this book even though I would love some of the brothers POVs. I need to get back into this series since I have the other two books.

10.Infinite Jodi Meadows 26%

Its the finally book about Ana the Newsoul who is surround by Old souls. Now Ana with friends need to find out the secrets behind the reincarnations and Janan the one who stared it all. I have been dying to read this book after reading the first two so quickly. However its still on my currently reads instead.

So here is my top ten current reads that I have on goodreads. There are others on my shelf that I haven’t even touched in a while. So is anyone else has a huge current reads list? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and see you Friday.

Happy reading 🙂

Top Ten: Finished Series I Have Yet to Finish

This has to be the most funny question. For the fact that I absolute suck at finishing series. I have a thing with reading the first book then never get to the next ones.

1. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

4-6 plus the Bane Chronicles. I am one of those people that thinks this series could have ended at book three. However am interested to see where Cassandra Clare goes with the story.

2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Don’t know why I stopped reading this series but I need to get around to finally finishing this. I started Shadow Kiss and stopped for a reason that maybe I read the first two to fast. So I may have burned out a little.

3. The Grisha by Leigh Bardvgo

I read the first book however I’ll need to reread it before coninuing. I don’t remember much other than being confused most of the time. And that’s probably why I haven’t continued.

4. His Fair Assassin by Robin LaFevers

All I have is the last book and yet I haven’t gotten around to it. I don’t want it to really end so maybe that could count as another reason.

5. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

STILL have Daughter of Smoke and Bone as my current read since April. Its turning out like when I read City of Bones. I need to get back into this trilogy. Although the page counts on these books keep getting bigger.

6. Legend by Marie Lu

Read the first book forever ago, and though I remember some parts I need to reread the first book before continuing. Loved the first book and can’t wait to read about Day and June again.

7. Under the Never Sky by Vernoica Rossi

Another trilogy I need to reread before continuing on. Love the world and characters with all the drama that’s goes in a story like this.

8. Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness

After a certain character death and the writing puts me off of continuing on. But I want to so bad need to know what’s going to happen with Todd and Viloet after that ending.

9. Trylle by Amanda Hocking

I didn’t overly enjoy the first book because the main character Wendy bugged me so when I finished the first book I wasn’t in no rush to continue.

10. Benny Imura by Jonathan Maberry

I spoiled myself on something that happens to my favorite character  in the second book that makes me hesitant to start it. But I loved the first book and really would love to continue this series.

So that only ten of the series I have yet to get to. I have so many darn series that I haven’t even started and just collecting the books. Am so bad when it comes to my series.

I got through 6 books this month all by the same author and series. J.D. Robb 10-13.

Witness in Death book 10

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

Story:It involves the production as a revival of Agatha Christie thriller Witness for the Prosection. Where Eve and thousand others are eye witness to. So now Eve and team have to basely have to weed out the killer who happened to be one of the actors themselves. It also hits a little close to home for Eve and she has to deal with it as best she can. By a)ignoring it as much as she can and b)never sleep.Smiles all around.

Things I loved..Roarke and McNabb have guy talk. Its time for McNabb and Peabody to go out on the town.Seeing McNabb jealous of Charles the LC. Kinda a love triangle but am actual okay with it. Eve tired to make a romantic night which could ended different then Roarke putting his foot in his mouth. Eve and Charles finally talk about his relationship with Peabody. Because things need to be said and I miss her being called lieutenant Sugar. lol.Drunk Peabody. She turns three when she does. Summerset and Eve’s back and forth. They have the funniest relationship of all and love when they take jabs at each other. Peabody and Eve fight and make up. One a blubbering mess and one just trying to forgive and forget. Its easy to guess who did which one.  Eve kicking the bookies ass. Even if the chick was way bigger than her. Eve is no weakling and I love that about her character.Roarke concern over her when she doesn’t really care for herself. Especially when she is hurt or having one of her moments.

Judgment in Death book 11
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

Things to look forward to in Judgment in Death

there is a cop killer who hates dirty cops. we also have a rich bad guy Ricker who has cops in his back pocket. Who’s also losing his mind slowly, but not before he got revenge on Roake. marriage troubles between my favorite couple. It has to do with a) Roake’s past and b) Eve doing her job. drunk Mavis and Eve. She had to talk to someone so she goes to Mavis and drink Slammers. Webster vs. Roake fight fight fight. He totally deserved it and got his ass whooped.Eve kicking bad guys butt. Max Ricker thought he could use his goons to get to Eve. However he underestimated her.

Betrayed in Death book 12

🌟🌟🌟🌟.5/5

4.5 and that reason being how they took the big time assassin down. He’s been able to invade the cops for years and that’s how it ends blah.

In other news my second favorite couple is broken up for some misunderstanding. Peabody is the best sidekick to Eve ever and knows how to trick into things. An old friend of Roake’s came to visit. Plus another trip to Ireland is going to happen.
Peabody and Eve have girl talk though Eve doesn’t like it.
Eve gets a new tattoo and this time it’s not a rose.

Interlude in Death book 12.5

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

So Roake and Eve are off planet for a cop convention. So at this convention there is a legend cop who is gunning for Roake and after she wouldn’t help him Eve. And that’s when things get spice. We found out that the old cop has a grudge thanks to Roake’s dad and a old double cross. After that revolutions began coming to light for both Roake and Eve. When of course trying to solve a couple of murders that’s are trying to be blamed on Roake. I really like this short story and how Eve works with off planet when it’s not her case. There was some of my favorite characters like my favorite couple, EDD Captain and favorite Aide. Plus we see Eve tell off a legend and kick some ass like always.

Seduction in Death book 13

🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

I loved this book other than the fact that the killers where pigs. And before anyone says that am not supposed to like the bad guys. These two took the cake. The plot for this one is that two best friends make up a game where they seduce and have sex and kill women they meet on the Internet. They would rank up points on the most adventures way it’s done. The women they seduce are nothing but lab rats and nothing more. Which is the reason I hate them so much. But as my hate for them is there my love for the other characters grew. Peabody and McNab are an officially couple where Eve wants to know nothing about. Are favorite LC is getting a chance at a relationship that isn’t client base. Which is sweet they both are lonely and will make a cute couple. Eve and Roake as always are the cutest thing in the world and just so in love. Even when they both drive the other crazy. My favorite part is when McNab and Charles get into it. Love the thought of them fighting even if Ian was drunk. The end result was what counted.

Reunion in Death book 14
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

An old foe come to rage war with Eve Dallas in a show down that ends in an extreme cat fight

Peabody’s parents come to visit.Roarke gets conned by the Peabody. Peabody gets her first cold case.Eve goes to Dallas Texas for a case and relive her past.Eve gets banged up.Roarke is a target to get to Eve.
