Time of Day Book Tag

Created by: ChrisToria2027

1. Time to wake up: a book that opened your eyes to a genre you didn’t previously read. Rot and Ruin by Johathan Maberry. It was my first zombie like book and feel in love.

2. No time for breakfast: a book that has been sitting on your shelf for ages. Article 5 by Kristen Simmons. I have had this book since I started collecting book.

3. Time to travel to work: a book you read while traveling. I got through two in death audiobooks on a trip from New York to Virginia.

4.You’ve had a hard time at work: a book you struggled to get through. Daughter of smoke and Bones I still haven’t finished that book and it’s taking me months to do so.

5.Lunch time: a quick and easy read. Anna and the French kiss by Stephaine Perkins. All those books are quick cute contemporaries.

6. Time for your performance review: a book you brought because of a review you read/watched. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. There is a lot of hype around this and now want to read it.

7. Time to travel home: a book that follows a character on some kind of journey. Hobbit is all about the traveling bare foot and food.

8. Dinner time and conversation: a book you don’t hear people talk about much, but you loved. I don’t know

9. Time to zone out in front of the tv: your favortie book that has been turned into a movie or tv show. I loved Fault in Our Stars by John Green. The movie made me cry.

10. Bedtime: the book that is currently on your nightstand. Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. Not far in it for am in a in and out reading mood.

11.Night time: a book you couldn’t put down so you stayed up way to late reading it. On the Fence by Kasie West. I love her books and finishing them in one night with no sleep.

Waiting on Wednesday

Summary:For as long as she can remember, Gwendolyn Allister has never had a place to call home—all because her mother believes that monsters are hunting them. Now these delusions have brought them to London, far from the life Gwen had finally started to build for herself. The only saving grace is her best friend, Olivia, who’s coming with them for the summer.

But when Gwen and Olivia are kidnapped by shadowy creatures and taken to a world of flesh-eating sea hags and dangerous Fey, Gwen realizes her mom might have been sane all along.
The world Gwen finds herself in is called Neverland, yet it’s nothing like the stories. Here, good and evil lose their meaning and memories slip like water through her fingers. As Gwen struggles to remember where she came from and find a way home, she must choose between trusting the charming fairy-tale hero who says all the right things and the roguish young pirate who promises to keep her safe.

With time running out and her enemies closing in, Gwen is forced to face the truths she’s been hiding from all along. But will she be able to save Neverland without losing herself? -goodreads

Comes out Feb. 2, 2016

A retelling of Peter Pan that I feel that will be darker than the Disney version. So that’s one out of many reasons I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.  Also to see the twist that Lisa Maxwell’s puts in.

Anyone else reading this on the 2 or like me later time?

Ebook Review: Pushing the Limit

Author: Katie McGuire

Series: Pushing the Limit#1

Publisher: Harlequin Teen

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

Summary: So wrong for each other …and yet so right. No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with “freaky” scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo’s world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible. Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she’ll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My thoughts:

This is a duel POV of Noah and Echo. Can I just say that there relationship was really cute. After they got through the why they can’t be together. They understood each other and be that voice of reason when needed.

Echo herself I liked her for most of the book. Echo has been through a trauma that she can’t even remember. in the beginning I did have a problem with her speaking her mind then taking it back. She did get a backbone and told her father and stepmom what needed to be said a long time ago. And am glad she did.

Noah himself I loved his while feeling really bad for to. He had to go through a lot with fighting the system for his brothers. He doesn’t trust grown ups and doesn’t do relationships. So the typical bad boy.

Grown ups in these book is a up and down experience. Some are really controlled (like Echos dad) some are not even around (like Noah’s foster parents). They came around some what but it’s hard to break old habits. However a grown up I really loved was Miss Collins the school counselor. She’s there for both Noah and Echo while helping them through some serious and tough decisions.

Okay the romance took a bit but I actual really liked it. Yes it was frustrating but their both stubborn in there own way and fighting for something. Echo and Noah are good in the listening department and can relate more than most.

I disliked the way (in the beginning)how they used normal. It pissed me off how her “friends” pushed her toward it when in reality she’s not. Then Echo works hard on trying for this when she has more important things to worry about.

friends wise  I loved Lila as the story went on. Because at first I thought she was one of those backstabbing people. In truth that honor goes to Grace.  Lila is the one true friend to Exho and I love how she is there when Echo needed that. Also Noah had his share of good friends. Those he count as family when he really doesn’t trust anyone.

So I had up and downs with this book. My biggest thing was the fact that this was set it high school . All the drama and who’s dating whom is a pain in the ass. I still highly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to continue the story.

So I said I was going to read some contemporary last week and I did for one day. Then I don’t know what happened. Okay I know what happened I got detracted. By my TBR. I for some reason decided it was time to organize my ebooks, hardbacks, and paperbacks. So now that I’ve started that projector takes a lot of time.

However I did start a new book. Which I really shouldn’t for I have enough am currently reading. But I was in the mood to read Pushing the Limits Katie McGarry and that’s what am doing.

So sorry RYBAT for trying not so much. Getting distracted happens a lot with me and my reading suffers.

First Bookoutlet Order of 2016

So I was doing so good at not buying books on Book Outlet. Can’t say the same for Amazon marketplace but still. I only brought them for one book then found 10 more that I really wanted. Not much of an excuse but it’s the only one I have.

The Pile:

Don’t know if you can tell but paperbacks win with 7 paperbacks and 4 hardbacks. Which is okay because I love my paperbacks.

Or aka the book that made me place the order in the first place. But am not mad I can’t wait to read it to remember Legend then maybe continue on the trilogy.

Or better named the trilogy that I’ve been wanting for years. I’ve been waiting for these books to be on book outlet all in the same format. Bonus is the prett covers.

Also known to me as the tallest book in my order. I didn’t know that I’ll Give You the Sun was so tall. I do know that it’s about twins in different times with both point of views. And that’s all I really want to know.

Have heard little about this but what I have heard is good. So am excited to read about some sisters with paranormal wrapped in. Maybe?

A 2015 release where I love the front, back, and the table of contents. Don’t ask me why but I love when books have titled chapters. I didn’t know this before I brought it but I liked the surprise.

A book I haven’t read and already have it as two different ebooks. So why not add another format to the equation. This is about a mix kid who can’t fit in with either side of his witch blood. Sounds fun.

This is will be my third book owned by Patrick Ness. I’ve heard some mixed things but has such a pretty cover.

And lastly the book that I’ve already read but needed to have the collection. I have been waiting for every for this book to come in paperback. And I know I could have brought it somewhere else. However my sentimental side wouldn’t let me since I brought the first two on book outlet.

There you have it my book outlet the first and not the last. I don’t regret anything and am going to go stare at them. While trying to figure out where to place them on my bookshelves.

Anyone else get sentimental attached to where you first but series? Or am the only weird one. Let me know it the comments.

Okay so this Weekend…

I don’t know what am doing. I want say I’ll be reading but I’ve been saying that all week. I’ve only been through like 100 pages in I’ve Got Your Number and that’s it. And that was in the beginning of the week.

I don’t believe it’s a slump I just haven’t been in the mood. Which is sad for my goal to reach 100 books. However on goodreads as of yesterday am on track so yeah. I guess.

What I have been doing during the week is blogging everyday which is great for me. Plus I’ve some what orginize ebooks. Which is a way to big TBR. Not done with orginizing it just yet however I made process during the week.

Also I’ve been in more into watching walkthroughs for video games that I may get. Also just YouTube as a whole.

So yeah I’ve been really lazy and not reading or doing anything but work. I think it helps that my lack of sleep is hurting me since am always tired.

So done with the rambling of a sleep deprived, YouTube  watching and being striaght lazy.

Questions: Anyone have plans for the weekend?

Disney Princess Book Tag

This is an old tag however since I don’t usually do tags I decided to pick a some what easy one. However I still had to think a bit on these so enjoy.

Snow White: Name a favorite classic romance.

why is this a repeat question for Snow White and Aurora. So instead I will name the my favorite couple every and I need to reread it soon. The Bride by Julie Garwood its set in Scotland with two hardheaded people trying not to fall in love.

Cinderella: Name a book that kept you reading past your bedtime.

So pretty much all of them. In these case I will say The Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong. I loved the whole story and how much action happened separately to the sisters.

Aurora: Name your favorite classic romance.

I haven’t read the books however the movie Pride and Prejudice I love the relationship between Darcy and Elizabeth. I mean who doesn’t love how there relationship went from hate to love.

Ariel: Name a book that’s about sacrifices and fighting for your dreams.

The Winner Curse by Marie Rutkoski I believe that Krestel made plenty of sacrifices in the first book. And since there is two more books I believe she’ll make more in the next ones.

Belle: Name a book with a smart independent female character.

Eve Dallas in the In Death series. She is a strong women and has a hard time asking for help. Though  Eve has proven that she can take care of herself.

Jasmine: Name a book whose character challenges the social conventions of their world.

Ana from the Newsouls trilogy by Jodi Meadows. She was the first newsoul among old ones. So she had to fight since day one. However its beautiful to see Ana’s process throughout the books, and how she stand up for herself and the other newsouls.

Pocahontas: Name a book whose ending was a roller coaster of emotion.

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken because though the first part wasn’t exciting the ending made up for it. In cliffhanger form. Now I really want to know how she is going to take that ending and continue it in the next book.

Mulan: Name a book featuring war or battle.

His fair assassin by Robin LaFevers. Love how’s there’s war, battles, backstabbing and of course assassination. These books are so much fun and I really need to read the last book to know how it wrapped up.

Tiana: Name a book featuring a hardworking, self-made character.

The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd. Juliet Moreau has lost everything and has to live with a bad family rep. So now Juliet has to survive in London by herself.

Rapunzel: Name a book featuring an artist.

Fall with Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Roxanne is a painter who also works at a bar. Plus me wishing that I had her confidence and talent in painting.

Merida: Name a book with a mother- daughter relationship.

Wings by Aprilynne Pike Laurel and her mother are really close and though Laurel is different plus not her own. Her mother really loves her.

Ana and Elsa: Name a book that features a great relationship between siblings.

Doon by Casey Corp and Lorie Langdon Mackenna and Veronica are technology not blood but love each other like they do. They made Doon for me more than the romance and I think them for it.

So this is me and which books go with each question. I need to find more tags because they are fun. Even though they do give me some stressful moments. Thanks for reading until tomorrow.

Anime Review: Itazura na Kiss

I enjoy anime and I found this when it was recommended to me. Thanks kiss anime for the recommended.

Genres: Comedy, Romance, Shoujo

Status: completed

Episodes: 25

Summary: Ever since she entered high school, Kotoko Aihara wanted to be in the same class as Naoki Irie. The only problem is that Irie is the smartest student in school contrast to Kotoko being one of the dumbest. Now in her 3rd year of high school, she still isn’t there. However, one day her home gets destroyed and the only place left to go to was Irie’s home. Now that she lives close to him, will their relationship be the same, or will it become greater than it is?

Aihara is kind a dumb and overly obsessed with Irie. I mean OBSESSED she does everything for him. She tries to become smarter to impress him. Then later becomes a nurse when he decides to become a doctor. Aihara does work hard on things when she puts her mind to it. However I think she does it for the wrong reason.

Irie to be honest you will hate him especially in the beginning and sometimes in the later episode. Irie is very cold person and its hard for him to show emotion. Which is surprising if you meet his parents.  However its hard to like him, especially when it involves Aihara who is his biggest fan.

The story itself is pretty much there relationship which is frustrating and cute at the same time. As much as I was raging at the characters for stupidity I kept watching for enjoyment. Plus I’ve watched it at least three more time since first watching it.
