I haven’t done this list yet and am fixing that right now. Okay so list isn’t in any order these are the 15 books I really enjoyed in 2015. Surprisingly this was easier than I first start so yeah here’s my favorites of 2015.
1.Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz
There was plenty of hype over this book and so I was nervous when I first picked it up from the library. OMG this book blew me away. This coming of age story that shows of friendship, experience new relationships, and being yourself. I need a copy of these book but haven’t gotten to it yet.
2. Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin
This book was recommended to me through Goodreads by a friend and when I saw that it was for cheap I tired it out. Another OMG moment since I couldn’t put it down. Its an new adult set in college about a girl named Clem who learns to bring down her guard and trust.
3. Defiance by C.J. Redwine
This book took me by surprise on how fast pace the story took and the way I couldn’t put it down. Defiance is a duel point of view with a strong female lead looking for her father with the help of her fathers assistant.
4. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
My only second Rainbow Rowell book and though I didn’t enjoy Eleanor and Park I really loved this book. Its a coming of age where Cath learns to live her life without her twin leading her.
5. Doon by Carey Corp
TIME TRAVELING BEST FRIENDS. Yes please. This book had so many elements in it with the time-traveling, friendship, romance and mystery. It was so good that I really want to continue as soon as possible.
6. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
LOVED.LOVED. This book is such a need to read and I know am just buying into the hype but whatever. It a fantasy of a girl who is saved from being beheaded by becoming the kings poison taster. Now she has to be trained under the HOT king assassin, and help out in a mystery.
7.The Martian by Andy Weir
If your wary about this listen to it because it’ll have you cracking up every page. There is a lot of science which makes sense with the book but Mark Watney explains it in a way that you wouldn’t fell like its flying over your head. Fyi need to see movie asap.
8.Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Am not the biggest Colleen Hoover fan but at this point I’ve only read one book of hers. And Maybe Someday was better. I loved the music aspect and the friendships developed. The romance was a mix of frustrating and cute at the same time, but overall I would read the book again.
9.On the Fence by Kasie West
I have a soft spot for Kasie West books they always get a five star from me and a auto buy. This books is a growing up story for Charlie who has grown up with brothers come into her more girly side.
10.Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis
I could never live this world. This book is unreal and what the characters have to deal with day and night though all the season. I loved how much all the characters grew especially Lynn. Who learned that there is more than one way to go by surviving.
11. Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
Another auto buy author. Though I thought the chapters where longer than necessary didn’t take away my love for the story. Emily finally learns to come out of her shell by doing task around town that her best friend Sloane left behind.
12. The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
I loved this book mostly thanks to the main character Kestrel the generals daughter. She is a strong character who can strategize, fight and isn’t weak. Though not everyone knows what she got going in her head she can think on her feet. And I loved that.
13. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
I loved this one and the last one but not for the romance but more on Kenji and his friendship to Juliette and how much growth she had. Juliette came from a long way from being the whiny person in the Shatter Me.
14. The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
A lot of people was hating on this book while I simply loved it. I loved how Mara and other supernatural friends where searching for answers. Also I think it was good not having Noah for most the book to not to distract Mara on the mission.
15. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
I didn’t enjoy Cinder that much not much happened so I thought it was a meh read. However Scarlet made up for that with the fact there was action. action. action. Also I total love Wolf and how he’s like this big strong puppy but very protected of Scarlet.
