Audible Review: Apprentice in Death

Author: J.D.Robb

Narrator: Susan Ericksen

Series: in death-43

Rating: 5/5

Format: audible 13h 6m

Summary:

Nature versus nurture…

The shots came quickly, silently, and with deadly accuracy. Within seconds, three people were dead at Central Park’s ice-skating rink. The victims: a talented young skater, a doctor, and a teacher. As random as random can be.

Eve Dallas has seen a lot of killers during her time with the NYPSD but never one like this. A review of the security videos reveals that the victims were killed with a tactical laser rifle fired by a sniper, who could have been miles away when the trigger was pulled. And though the list of locations where the shooter could have set up seems endless, the number of people with that particular skill set is finite: police, military, professional killer.

MY FANGIRL THOUUGHTS:

This book was like Innocent in Death for it being a minor. Differences it was a father/daughter team and sniper people who did them wrong. Though we find out who they are pretty quickly the hunt was fun. Behind the duo killings have been twisted so that Will could kill as she wants. You would think after over 40 books in these series that it would get boring but it’s not. I love how J.D Robb comes up with the plot, the police work behind it, and the relationships. I love all the characters that Eve has made along the way and how they pretty much became family. There is also so life changing things happening where Eve’s accepting change.

Also I love how in the end it went from all about death to life and happiness. Quick note about the audible it was done by the same lady whose done the rest of the series. Which I loved. A thing I didn’t like about the audible is the fact that I didn’t get the book until three hours after it released. Waiting to listen to this book was annoying.

I still love these books and since I finished this in one day. Now have to wait until 2017 for the next book.
