September Wrap Up

21. That’s the number of books I’ve read in the month of September. I’ve been listening to audiobooks then actual reading physical books isn’t working for me currently. So here’s all I’ve read in September

Hitched Trilogy & The Fix UP by Kendall Ryan

Hitched vol. 1-3 should been just one book so that the audiobooks would have been cheaper to get. Especially since they had cliffhangers. Then we have The Fix UP which is a spin off to Hitched but about the best friends of there’s. I enjoyed The Fix Up more for the reason it was just one book. Plus if there was a misunderstanding they talked it out instead of dragging it out. Another plus Sterling had a accent which sounded beautifully on audio.

Maniscalco(sjtr)

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco  (ya/ historical /mystery)

3/5. A bit slow and guessing who the Jack was I had it down to two and was right. However I loved Audrey Rose and the banter she had with her love interest. Also this was historical fiction where women are supposed to ladies and yet Audrey wants nothing to do with it.

Bennett(aa)

Alex Approximately by Jenn Bennett (summertime contemporary)

4/5. It was about email exchange which of course yes. I loved the relationships in this book. I loved that Porter and Mink had a hate to more relationship. Didn’t like that who Alex was revealed so early. Or that there was no sign of Minks mom. It was some what explained however was some what open ended.

Robb(45)

Secret in Death (in death #45) by J.D. Robb (mystery/romance)

5/5. Every book in the death series a full star because I love this series. Wish there was more of my favorite side characters instead of glimpse of them. However something finally comes to light that I have been waiting for awhile now. Can’t wait until next year for the next one.

Temptation series by Ella Frank (m/m)

I read all the books that are currently out. 1-4 of them where audiobook while the last one hasn’t came out yet. I loved all the audiobooks the narrator Shannon Gunn does very well with male voices. So far the whole series I give 4 stars. For its about a straight male who just got out of a marriage and is being courted by a another man. This whole series is about excepting of oneself and family issues about those chooses. I love Tate and Logan. Forewarning though every book has a cliffhanger you’ve been warn.

Hart(dof)

Depth of Field by Riley Hart  (m/m romance)

4/5.Shane & Maxwell doesn’t have the best past where Shane was greatly bullied by Maxwell and his friends. However years later Maxwell comes back after living right after high school and rock Shane’s world. I loved how slow they took to become more especially since they have such a ugly and hurtful past. Once they work that out though it was still a tough road and I loved it.

Kage Trilogy by Maris Black

3/5. Each book had a element of the reporter and the boxer. Its a trilogy about there struggles with long distance, jealous, dark past, and mafi elements in each story. The whole trilogy is pretty short and if listening to them in 2x can finish each in a day. Plus another book trilogy that has cliffhanger ending just so you know.

The Royal Series by Erin Watt (new adult romance/ bad boys)

4/5. I know a lot of people dislike this book however I ate them up. Especially since it had a family of bad boys which I have a really soft spot for. Plus Ella was a bad ass all by herself. She was put into this family pretty much against her will and the boys where just demons to her. However she never backed down from those or those in her new prep school. The whole school situation was missed up. For it is ruled by the students and the teachers can be paid off. I need the to read the spinoff but not all the books are out so am waiting because I know there are cliffhangers.

Zapata (twow&m)

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata  (sports romance)

3/5. This has a hate to love relationship between employee for her boss. For though Vanessa has worked and hated her employer Aiden never seem to care. Except if it has to do with working out and his career. That was until Vanessa has enough and quit and Aiden needs her help. This was a over 600 page book which was okay in audiobook however for most of it nothing really happened.

ward(dd)

Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward (reconnection/long-distance/romance)

3/5. This was a cute story of old friendship reconnecting thanks to a drunk call. I loved how cute this story was and wish it was a bit longer. I feel like there was loose ends that I would like to see resolved and not just mentioned in the epilogue.

Lauren(a)

Autoboyography by Christina Lauren  (ya/coming of age/mm)

4/5. I can see a lot my own personality in Tanner especially when it comes to laziness and process of writing a book. Though I didn’t fully understand the religious aspect of this book especially it being set in such a religious setting. Also we have mostly Tanner Point of view, however Sabastian does it one with a different voice which threw me. I’ll have a better review later am still thinking on it.

So yeah here’s my ramble review and hopefully I’ll have some reviews up that make a bit more sense later on. Thanks if you made it though and see you next time with my haul for September.
