So I thought I’ve done this but apparently I haven’t and its the end of November before I actually checked. Anyway here’s the 16 books I’ve read in the October. These are pretty much all audio reads because that’s all I’ve been able to listen to lately.
THE PLAY MATE & THE HOUSE MATE- Kendall Ryan (roommates 2&3)
These books are meh to me and some of it bugged me how the characters acted and I could not connect to them which is probably why I don’t remember much of these books. 3 out of 5.
ROOMHATE- Penelope Ward
This was a hate to love story and it was such a wild ride. I have a full review on my goodreads and blog post. Just so you know this book is a fun ride and I give it a 5 out of 5.
CHEATER & CHEATER REGRET-Rachel Van Dyken (curious liaisons-1&2)
This took me by surprise and I loved them so much. Cheater is about having a different women everyday a week. Then trying to have a second chance with someone who really pissed off about the past. Then we have the best friends from the first book trying to get past the ending of the first book. This has revenge and cheating and trying to get over the past. I love that Avery and Austin are food junkies and that Lucas and Thatch know that they can get the girls to listen because of that. Plus I felt that the commutation in the Cheater’s was done will because they talked it out. Not so much in Regret because Thatch was hiding his past from Austin. Still watching them go back and forth on pranks/revenge tactics was fun. Both get a 5 out of 5.
The Shadow Cipher-Laura Ruby (York-1)
This is the first middle school book I’ve read in awhile and it makes my heart full This is three children who try to fight to save there apartment building. How three middle school be able to travel around New York to look for clues I don’t know. I have a full review on Goodreads and blog post. 4 out of 5.
WRITTEN IN RED/MURDER OF CROWS/VISIONS IN SILVER/MARKED IN FLESH/ETCHED IN BONE- Anna Bishop (The Others 1-5)
I still can’t believe that I finished this in one month, especially since this books are big. However I was addicted as hell to the storyline not so much the story ,but the characters are my favorite parts. They grow from the paranormal grows from dealing with humans at arms length to actually helping them as things hit the fan. All thanks to Meg. As a whole I give the series 4 out of 5.
ROYALLY SCREWED & ROYALLY MATCHED-Emma Chase (Royally- 1&2)
These were just fun reads of two brothers following in love with women they didn’t think they would fall for. First we have Nicholas who went to New York to find his brother however ends up drunk at a bakery with a smart mouth owner. Then we have Henry who is a party boy who believes he’ll never be what his grandmother and brother expect of him. So he decides to sign up for a show like that introduced him to his bookworm. Both books they start off on a bad foot, and there was so many hurt feelings. The thing I like the most is that even if they have hurt feelings they talk about it. It doesn’t resolve right away but at least not everything is bottled up. I have one more book in this trilogy and I can’t wait to get it sometime soon. Both stories I give it 4 out of 5.
GIRL IN 6E- A.R. Torre (Deanna Madden-1)
This book took me by surprise with its multiple POV’s and how this book was mild on the creepiness. Which worked for me since I don’t do scary things. Plus I found out a lot about cam girls, and the type of people who signed up. Also I didn’t think there will be more elements other than the cam thing. However I also got a bit of romance. Mystery, kidnapping, and a road trip of sort. So yeah I would like to continue with this trilogy. 5 out of 5.
GEEKERELLA- Ashley Poston
How this book reminds me so much of the Cinderella story with a more geeky moments. It was so cute and had one of my favorite troupe secret exchanges. More please. Yes we have the evil stepmother who makes her stepdaughter life a living hell. I enjoyed that not both stepsisters mean to Elle. Vic-Con element that was started by Elle’s dad and she is going back to her nerdy roots. Also I loved that there is a lesbian couple. This book made me laugh and smile more times that I know I’ll be reading it again someday. 5 out of 5.
This is not a total beauty and beast retelling it has more a fantasy where Beauty is more a hunter then a bookworm. We get glimpse into the beast by dairy entries. Also she has siblings and I guess the best part there is no Gaston. All the secondary characters are likable and you feel for them. Plus the friendship between Beauty and the Beast was sweet especially since she was so pissed in the beginning and Beast was resigned. The twist that happens in this book am on the fence of because I didn’t realize it until the end. And I kind of feel like I should have known but glad that I didn’t. 4 out of 5.
So although this is super late because am the worst book blogger every.
