Friday Read (still reading these :/)

I just finished The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and will have a review up coming next week. Now time to get back to the two books that I’ve been reading forever.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber am 45% through

By Your Side by Kasie West am 63% through

I need to finish these so that I can have a clean swipe for next week. For next week is when I read Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard for a buddy read am doing. I haven’t read this series for the reason when it came out there was way to much hype. Now is the time to give it a shoot.

Into next time everyone have fun this weekend.:)

Friday Read

Format: paperback/audible

page count: 438/17h&44m

Remaining: 205

Okay let me be honest on the fact that I have multiply currently reading books. However currently am trying to get through Uprooted by Naomi Novik since I already got halfway. Now am setting a goal on finishing it this weekend for the simply fact I haven’t finished a book yet. Plus I don’t have to work so lazy weekend here I come.

This weekend is the weekend of long traveling. So I will be listening to two books this weekend one short and really long. Those books consist of:

This is the making of the Princess Bride one of my favorite movie ever. I still haven’t read the book but I wanted to listen to this first. This is narrated by Cary Elwes who if you’ve seen the movie is Wesley. Its a 7 hour and minute. So this should be a quick lovably to listen to.

Then am going for a longer book. A  32 hours and 43 minutes long book which still makes me nerves. But am hoping that listening  to it by Davina Porter it will make the book not so long.

There you go these are the two books that I’ll be listening to while traveling down south while avoiding my family. Excited to listen to these books. What is everyone reading this weekend hope it goes will and fun. 🙂

FRIDAY READS w/ Current Reads

Am so a lets start everything and not finish anything. I don’t know why this is a habit and find it annoying. So yeah here are all my Friday read along with the other books am reading.

The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker 30%

Chava is a golem, a creature made of clay, brought to life by a disgraced rabbi who dabbles in dark Kabbalistic magic. When her master, the husband who commissioned her, dies at sea on the voyage from Poland, she is unmoored and adrift as the ship arrives in New York in 1899.
Ahmad is a jinni, a being of fire, born in the ancient Syrian desert. Trapped in an old copper flask by a Bedouin wizard centuries ago, he is released accidentally by a tinsmith in a Lower Manhattan shop. Though he is no longer imprisoned, Ahmad is not entirely free – an unbreakable band of iron binds him to the physical world.

I have this as an Overdrive audio and e-book because there is a lot of characters along with their stories. This story is interesting in the fact that their all pretty much migrants who come to America for one reason or another. However with all the characters the two main characters Chava and Ahmad don’t get seen much.

Firelight by Kazu Kibuishi (Amulet-7)

Emily, Trellis, and Vigo visit Algos Island, where they can access and enter lost memories. They’re hoping to uncover the events of Trellis’s mysterious childhood — knowledge they can use against the Elf King. What they discover is a dark secret that changes everything. Meanwhile, the Voice of Emily’s Amulet is getting stronger, and threatens to overtake her completely.

Don’t know why I haven’t finished this yet since its a graphic novel. Also this is a Overdrive book so I need to get to it before it expires.

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova (Brooklynbrujas-1) 8%

Alex is a bruja, the most powerful witch in a generation…and she hates magic. At her Deathday celebration, Alex performs a spell to rid herself of her power. But it backfires. Her whole family vanishes into thin air, leaving her alone with Nova, a brujo boy she can’t trust. A boy whose intentions are as dark as the strange markings on his skin.

The only way to get her family back is to travel with Nova to Los Lagos, a land in-between, as dark as Limbo and as strange as Wonderland…

Am not that far in it and not much is happening as of yet.

George by Alex Gino 70%

This a less than 200 page story of George who is a girl trapped in a boy body. George wants to be seen as a girl so her and her best friend plan to show herself during a school play.

This is such a good book and can’t help but root for George. Plus George is 10 years old. That is really impressive that she knows who she is at a young age. Can’t wait to see how this ends and George to get her shine.

Fire in the Darkness by Stacy Marie Brown (darkness-2) 61%

This is four weeks after Light in the Darkness and it is Ember struggling with who to trust and how to get control of her powers. Ember goes through a lot and is angry a lot. She is learning some sercets and meeting more people who help her learn about herself.

So here you go and hope that I can get these done sooner than later. Anyone else have a multiply book at one time. Until next time and read on.

Friday/Weekend Reads

The Answer and the Answer by Patrick Ness because I really want to finish this on or before Sunday. This is a 519 page book and am reading it in three different formats so I should be able to finish. She says with really high hopes. I really loved this book and I have 152 pages left and plenty of interest to continue. However life itself where I sleep during the day and work at night. Which doesn’t help with my reading, but I will get through it come Sunday. Its time for war and my favorite two people Viola and Todd are right in the middle of it on each side.

Ugh these two have been separated pretty much the whole book, and I need them to be able to talk and not just think what they do.

Friday Read

Still halfway through Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson. am planning on finishing it this weekend. After that I have no idea.

Where am currently. Also for a 519 page book it’s an easy read and can  get  big chunks of read before other responsibilities come up.

Friday Reads

Sticking with the In Death by J.D. Robb for the time being. Am actual almost caught up so I believe I can get three more done.

#39 #40 #41

Am currently reading Concealed in Death which is a cold case that goes back 15 years with 12 bodies of young girls.

So this weekend I’ll be having a audible book party of the in death series. #havenolife

Weekend Reads

This weekend am going to be super lazy so why not get some reading done. So without further ado…

First up is Passenger by Alexandra Bracken am currently 81% done and should be finished with it (hopefully) later today. I have been slowly reading this since it came out and can’t wait to see how Bracken wraps it up.

So on Saturday through Sunday I want to finish up Winter by Marissa Meyer which am currently 22% pages in.  I got to part two of the book when Winter first came out and put it down. Now its time to continue it before Stars Above comes out.

I’ll be doing a duel reading and listening act with the both of these so I can do other lazy things while enjoying the stories. Any one else binge reading these weekend?

Friday Read: 6/26/15

IMG_2940Title: Empire of Night

Author: Kelley Armstrong

Series: Age of Legends #2

Page Count: 424

Publisher: Harper Teen

Summary: Sisters Moria and Ashyn are the Keeper and Seeker of Edgewood. Or at least, they were.
Their village is gone. Their friends have betrayed them. And now, the emperor has sent them on a mission to rescue the children of Edgewood—accompanied by Prince Tyrus and a small band of imperial warriors. But the journey proves more perilous than they could have imagined. With treachery and unrest mounting in the empire, Moria and Ashyn will have to draw on all their influence and power to overcome deadly enemies—not all of them human—and even avert an all-out war.

So am back in the world of twin sisters Moria and Ashyn with all the drama in between. Am only 23% in however all I’ve found is that Moria may have a new love interest in Prince Tyrus. I like Tyrus but I like Gavril more for Moria. Plus Ashyn is mad at Ronan for the kiss then don’t talk to me B.S. Also the sisters don’t seem as close this time around which sucks, because there all they have. I need to stop rambling and find out what’s going to happen next. Can’t wait to read more.

That’s my Friday reads. What’s yours?
