This is a duel POV of Jackson and Lucas who meet at a all boy school became friends and started feeling more. However Jackson disappear and it takes him 8 years to come back. But coming back they find out that they have changed while still being highly attracted to each other.
Jackson and Lucas had such a rough reunion and moments afterward. Since Jackson wants to explain unfortunate for him Lucas doesn’t want to hear it. How much work the both have to do start talking and being open. It was a roller-coaster. Which to come find out both where tricked by Jackson’s dad so that they would never see each other.
Lets talk about his father for a moment. There was plenty of times I yelled at my phone because he was simply a bastard. Not only did he twist the situation 8 years ago to keep them away from each other. But also the way he talked to Jackson pissed me off which is the ending was one of my favorite part.
On a more positive note I LOVED Shaw and Bash and simply wanted more of them. There best friends to Lucas and try to be the voice of reason type role. Shaw is the one you go to for a tattoo or a drink, but gives great advice without asking. Then there is Bash who you need for a bad day while also being a cutthroat when needed. I loved them both so much that I just want more.
Plus its based in Safe Haven which is a small southern town where everyone knows everyone and there secrets. However this small town is somewhere I really would love to visit. Or any small town would do.
So this book took me by surprise and I couldn’t stop reading it. So I just the next book come out now so I can revisit this small town with there southern charm. While following some of favorite guys fall in love.
Also reading this has completed my goodreads challenge of reading 50 books. How my reading has been of late I had to take it down from 100 to 50 and even then I wasn’t sure if I would get that. So from now until Dec 31st am set.
Has anyone else hit there goodreads goal yet or have you changed it to go higher or lower? Let me know in the comments along with any book recommentions about small towns. m/m romance because I haven’t gotten enough yet. second chance loves.
Until next time bye 🙂
