Top 10: Whatever I Wanted…

I like to collect books without actually reading the first book. So who knows If I actual like these or not I just know that am a collector of books.

My topic is the top 10 trilogies that I have all the books to but haven’t even started. Enjoy..

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood (the Cahill Witch Chronicles)

(Daughter of Smoke & Bone) by Laini Taylor

(Red Rising) by Pierce Brown

(The School of Good and Evil) by Soman Chainani

Antigoddess by Kendare Blake (Goddess War)

The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan (Dispossessed)

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson (The Final Empire)

Blood Red Road by Moira Young  (Dust Lands)

(Perfect Chemistry) by Simone Elkeles

What’s Left of Me by Zat Zhang (the hybrid chronicles)

This has taken me long time to do thanks to my computer being a pain. However I got all the pictures and uploaded so yeah. These are some of my completed trilogy that I haven’t even touched. Anyone has these problem because it is something I want to fix. Any hints?

Until next time

T5W:Favorite Polarizing Books

Okay to be honest I had to look what polarizing means also which books count for it. And this is what I came up with and hope you enjoy.

10818853

50 Shades Series by E.L. James: Lot of people give this series a lot of hate, but I can’t help but love it. I get that its not the best thing written or the concept people can’t get behind. Yet this series is a totally guilty pleasure for me that I wont apologize for.

how-to-love

How to Love by Katie Cotugno: This is a your going to either like it or dislike it. I was the first one. This was just a sweet contemporary that I enjoyed and glad I read.

41865

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer: I read this series before it got really popular and I remember loving it. I probably couldn’t read it again without cringing however I’ll always have that first time.

19063

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak: It took me a bit to get into the book itself but dang when I did I loved it. This book made a rare thing happen and I cried which will keep this book special to me.

rebel-belle

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins: I didn’t like this book which sucks because the concept should have made me like it. However the main character Harper was not my favorite and her decisions ruined it.

So I did four loves and one dislike and its all fun. Let me know what you think.

Meme: Top 10 Tuesday

topic: ten underrated/hidden gem books I’ve read in the past year or so

the distance between us by Kasie West: I love all her books and this was the first book of hers I read. This is a cute contemporary that you can finish in one sitting.

Heist Society<heist society#1> by Ally Carter: You should read this if you like heist books with teens. I just loved this trilogy and makes my heart full when thinking about it.

Under the Never Sky<under the never sky#1> by Veronica Rossi: Just read for it has plenty for everyone to at least read the first book.

The Iron King<the iron fey#1> by Julie Kagawa: A fey series that I read super fast yet I don’t hear anyone else talk about. I haven’t read the spinoff yet and just want to reread them all.

Graceling <graceling realms> by Kristin Cashore: this book was absolute necessary if you enjoy fantasy books. These is a pretty chunky book that has plenty to keep you entertained.

Unearthly<unearthly #1> by Cynthia Hand: has my favorite couple in it and has a cute story along with it. More people should give this book a chance. Especially  if you like angel books with a hate to love relationship.

Poison Study<study #1> by Maria V. Snyder: This book has grown a bit, but still think that more people should read this book. It has magic, mystery, assassins, and again my favorite troupe.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton: Yes this is a classic yet its the only one I’ve read multiply times. I love Ponyboy his brothers and the other boys he hangout with. They are just a bunch of boys looking out for each other.

Incarnate <newsouls#1> by Jodi Meadows: this trilogy has some beautiful covers and such a good storyline which I believe more people should give a chance.

Angelfall <Penryn & the End of Days #1> by Susan Ee: I’ve only read the first book of this trilogy and it took me by surprise how much I enjoyed it. My favorite troupe was in it which is why I recommend it to those who like the hate turned respect relationship.

So there you have it. All these books I’ve loved and don’t really hear many people talk about. So please try these out because all books deserve a chance.

T5W:Favorite First Liners

First liners are important because it can make or break if a person wants to read it or not. For people like me who only glimpse at that summary then open the book to see if its something that you want to read. If not then it goes right back on the shelf. So here are some first liners that kept me interest to keep reading.

“My name is Lizzy Tucker, and I used to think I was normal.”

-from Wicked by Janet Evanovich

“When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home”

-from The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

“Today was the day a thousand dreams would die and a single dream would be born.”

-The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

“A stabbing pain jolts me awake.”

-from Alive by Scott Sigler

“I’m pretty much fucked”

-from The Martin by Andy Weir

So these are some of my favorite book first liners that I have come across in my reading life. Of course there more, because there will always be more to read them from. So my fellow book lovers have any favorite first liners let me know which ones they are. Until next time 🙂

Topic:Books Where the Character Hate Each Other at First Site aka my favorite troupe ever.

I love this topic because it deals with one of my favorite kind of romances. Don’t ask me why but I simply love how to people from wanting to punch you in the face to kissing it. So here’s my favorite top ten books that goes along those lines.

(1)

The Bride by Julie Garwood. A Scotsman male vs. English women with a marriage bargain the battle was epic.

(2)

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. Oh I well never forget Tuckers and  Clara’s meeting and how it pretty much went down from there for awhile.

(3)

Luxe series (the first two books) by Jennifer L. Armentrout. So much chemistry and no where to put it. I also loved how it didn’t resolve itself in the first book but carried on to the next.

(4)

Angelfall by Susan Ee. A angel whose had his wings taken, and a girl harden by her circumstances both going on a journey. Sounds fun right.

(5)

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. Oh Perry and Aria from two different worlds ,have no trust, yet work together. Loved.

(6)

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong between the Keeper and a guard who alway dig at each other. I loved their parts the most.

(7)

Touch of Power by Maria V. Synder. This just shows that you can’t just tell a women she has to do anything. Because like Avry will show strong defiance toward you.

(8)

In death by J.D. Robb aka McNab and Peabodys beginning. There whole relationship was one up and down that I loved every minute of.

(9)

Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry the brother edition to this question. Benny hates his older brother for his parents death.  But they went on a journey and both learned to trust and love each other.

(10)

Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Yes it has Twlight elements in it but I don’t care I loved how Patch and Nora. They both turned that distrust into something more solid.

There you go my top Hate to Love relationships that I’ve read. I want more already. so if you know anymore good onces let me know and I’ll try them out.

Friday Read

Am going to try to finish Destined for Doon if i can make through the feeling ahead of me. Duncan has been my favorite character since the first book. However to see him heartbroken, angry, and so different from before hurts.

So am going to really try to read as much of these before Sunday. Since Topple Tome starts that day and really want to start on The Ask and the Answer. However I don’t know how much I’ll get done since I sleep during the day and work at night for 6 hours.

If interested in my process check either my goodreads or Twitter. Because I will be ranting on both since the feelings are real. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

A Mash Up Of bookish thing

Bookish Delights:

1.Getting new books. I don’t try and buy to many physical books this year. However e-books are still my weakness. However opening up a book to see the book design or end pages and am in love.

2.Organizing my shelves. I need to organize again though I don’t know how. But as long as my series are together and doesn’t look a mess am happy.

3.Audiobooks while at work. Seriously working fast food is one of the stressful part of my day. So when I have free time with nothing but cleaning I start listening to a book.

4.Having complete series. Though I don’t finish them as fast as I should I do love seeing complete series on my shelves and dream about marathoning them someday.

5.Reading a book with all my favorite things. My slow romances with the sassy male characters with a great story line  is my life.

6.when I get a like on a post or view. I don’t blog very often since I don’t read as often or stay up with a lot of things. So when I get a view or like it always make my day.

7.amazon marketplace and book outlet. I love both site though my wallet and parents disagree. However there cheap and I will some how find someplace to put them.

8. getting my mom to read one of my books. I love when my mother comes into my room and ask for a book recommendation. The ones I gave her she has liked so am a proud book worm.

9. collecting bookish things. I don’t have many but it is a hobby that I like along with collecting books.

10. goodreads shelves. They help me keep organized in all my formats of books I have. So goodreads helps me know what I have which format I have it in.

HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY:

Today my copy of The Rose and the Dagger by Renee came in and now am currently reading The Wrath and the Dawn. Which I should have read forever ago but haven’t yet.

Top Ten Tueday

TOPIC: Ten Books Every Non Instant Love Fans Should Read:

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowel

I love this book for the fact that Levi and Cath are both goofy people and made for each other. Though that road to that conclusion was long and bumpy.

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

Valek is pretty much the main reason to read this book. He’s pretty much a jack of all trades and handsome as hell to boot. Which is probably why Yelena (and me of course) fell for him.

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

I want a Sam for he plays music, a great listener, and understanding. Which is all Ana needed after living the way she did before coming to Heart and meeting him. Plus no love triangle which is rare in young adult.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

I laugh every time I think of Tucker and Clara. How they went from some what rivals since there first meet wasn’t the best. To becoming a couple and being really romantic with each other. I don’t know why but they are one of my top couples in my head.

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

Arin and Kestrel have a complicated relationship status. Which is probably why I root for them so much to get together in the end. Politics and war be damned.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

All the books in the His Fair Assassin trilogy have those slow burning love. It helps with the fact that politics, war, and past memories for the girls keep the romances on the back burner.

Legend by Marie Lu

I love Days and Junes relationship in these book. For one hated while the other wasn’t complete sure. Then they cam together thanks to a common goal and fell for each other.

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong

Love how these story has one story but pretty much told in two sister point of views. Along with that is two different romances that seem to go different ways to. I simply love Moria and Gavril for the banter and just them makes me love reading about them.

Defiance by C.J. Redwine

This is more of a search for father than a romantic story which is always okay in my book. Rachel the hardheaded red head and Logan the mechanic who try to keep his distance. Plus dealing with the deadly things in the Wasteland sounds like a good start to a romance to me.

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Not many people like how the relationship happen but I did. I loved how it was total friends zone to in a relationship. All the sweet moments just adds up to me a really good start to finish for there relationship.

I love how the romances are built up like good solids one should. I know am not the only one that rolls there eyes at the how predictability, and instant some relationships in books appear. So am always happy and love the book more when there is more a build up then the boom.

Comes out Feb. 2, 2016

A retelling of Peter Pan that I feel that will be darker than the Disney version. So that’s one out of many reasons I can’t wait to get my hands on this book.  Also to see the twist that Lisa Maxwell’s puts in.

Anyone else reading this on the 2 or like me later time?
