I listened to LOTS of auidble books while getting some kindle books read. I’ve been reading a lot however I haven’t done that many reviews. So I need to fix that sooner than later.

Reading Wrap Up for August

Pucked Under by Helena Hunting (Pucked- 4.5)

5 stars… I was so happy when I finally found this book on ITunes books since I’ve been searching for it everywhere. This is Randy and Lily story of watching there relationship develop. Its so cute to see them living together and be insecure about the upcoming hockey season. Plus getting the other characters is always a treat for me because I love them all. I still want more though because Randy still haven’t gotten his happily ever after yet.

Graceling by Kristin Cashore (Graceling- 1)

5 stars… I have been getting into fantasy lately which is weird because I’ve never thought I would be able to get into it. However this book is so good. Katsa is a strong character from the beginning and yet she still grew so much in this book. Plus I want my own Po because he is understanding, loving, and will let you kick his butt all in the name of approving. I was sad to learn that the next two books are just companion novels with different main characters. Though Katsa and Po aren’t in them am still interested to see what they bring to the world.

Tokyo Heist by Diana Renn

5 stars….This book took me by surprise because it wasn’t what I thought it was. And that being a straight up art heist. No real romance or much of anything but the growth of the mystery behind stolen Van Goth paintings. Plus you get to see Tokyo and learn about its culture and traditions which I thought was really cool.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson (the remnant chronicles-1)

5 stars… This trilogy I’ve been nervous to start however with the last book coming out this month it was time to start it. And though trying to figure out which guy was who, and it took me a bit to get into I really enjoyed this first book and will continue on.

Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson  (Alcatraz-1)

5 stars… First Brandon Sanderson and was very impress with this book. Its middle grade and I just loved everything about it. How Alcatraz claims himself as a hero, or that he cuts into the story and says something funny. I listened to this in one sitting because the humor is everything to me.

Alcatraz Versus the Scrivener’s Bones by Brandon Sanderson (Alcatraz-2)

5 stars…Just as good as the first book even if the grandpa wasn’t in until the end. However I got introduced to more family members with more whacky talents. Also Alcatraz grows a bit and doesn’t seem as dumb as he did in the first book. Will be continuing.

Infinite by Jodi Meadows (newsouls -3)

5 stars….I Have finally completed this trilogy and already miss Ana and Sam along with there friends. Such a great unrated trilogy that should be read by more people. There is no love triangle, slow burning love, great friendship, and great character growth. To see Ana from the first book to the last was a really great experience.

Seven books isn’t bad plus I read so really good books so am not to sad. This coming month I’ve been thinking of doing squeals. Because I have way to many of them that I’ve been putting off and its time to read them. So let me know how you did this month I would love to know.

JULY: Reading Wrap Up

12 books. Somehow I got through 12 books granted mostly where by audio but still. I also started and finished some series so here we go.

Playing for Keep by R.L. Mathewson 3/5

Honeymoon from Hell vol.1 by R.L. Mathewson 3/5

Perfection by R.L. Mathewson 3/5

All three books are part of the neighbor from hell and for the most part I enjoyed them. I did have some issues like how the males thinks to highly of themselves. I did enjoy  the fact that all Bradford’s males have major appetites which lead to really funny moments.

(I had a bit of a Helena Hunting kick reading a total of 8 in total)

Pucked Series by Helena Hunting

I loved all the books in this 4 books series. All the characters where interesting and their male leads where interesting as well. I mostly laughed thanks to Violet never having a filter and just feel in love with these books. I will say though for anyone getting into the series there is plenty of sex just a warning.

The Librarian Principle by Helena Hunting

This was my least favorite book of the month. It was just meh all the way through. Didn’t really care for the main characters, but enjoyed the side characters more. The humor was also something that helped this book but didn’t carry it.

Clipped Wings duology by Helena Hunting

I really enjoyed this duo and was happy to learn that it wasn’t all about the romance. It also had heartbreak, great lost, forgiveness, friendship, along with the romance. So glad I wrapped up my Helena Hunting kick with this book.

Between the Cracks by Helena Hunting 4/5

this is a novella to Chris and his romance with Sarah along with dealing with the drama from Clipped Wings ending brought. I loved this for the fact Chris finally got the girl he has been trying to get. On the other hand Hayden is a total train wreak. Of the drama.

The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness 5/5

I finished this trilogy and wasn’t disappointed. So glad I sucked it up and read this even if I didn’t want to end and my feelings where going crazy. Can’t wait to see what this author comes out with next.

There you have it I read 3 novellas and 9 books thanks to audible and kindle. I was traveling in the middle of July so am very happy how my month turned out.

Haul: Ebook

Okay so it’s officially I have a problem and it’s called ebooks. This month I collected 100 new books that will probably just seat on my kindle.

The list includes:

100 books that mostly came from deals throughout the month but still. I don’t read on my ereader and I need to break that habit if am going to continue buying ebooks. Or stop buying ebooks no matter the deal which I don’t see happening. Something needs to change.

Please someone tell me am not the only one. And this is part 1 of 3 hauls I have. I’ve spent a lot of money on books this month that they have to be in different post. Until later.

Weekend Goals Actived

I got through all three books that I wanted to read and I only have one more book to get be caught up with the in death series. Goals in the making. Now that I’ve pretty much caught up its time to get through other series and books. Now I don’t have the terrible need to read the in death series all the time.

So after Brotherhood in Death will be waiting until September for the newest one. I’ll miss the characters which is the main reason for anyone to read these books but it is time for a little break.

I also discovered that reading physical books right now don’t help me. So audible books have saved my reading life from coming nonexistent. I have found more ways to listen to books then actual read them especially at work and late night when everyone else is asleep. It’s just easier to plug in my headphones and listen to the narrators.

So my weekend was a success and hopefully I can keep it going for the rest of the year.

Hope everyone has a good week 😊

6. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge 3/5

This was meh and  I didn’t enjoy it as much as I would thought for a re-telling.

7. On the Fence by Kasie West 5/5

Don’t know why it took it so long for me to read this. I loved how much Charlie grew into more herself.

8. Bared to You by Sylvia Day 3/5
