A Read-a-Thon that Span 3 Weeks…

Pokémon Indigo League is a read-a-thon that goes from August 14th-Sept. 4th. Its Pokémon theme and you don’t have to know anything about Pokémon to join. For more information go to host site of Read At Midnight and to sign up.

Okay the jest of the read-a-thon there are 8 gyms (challenges) that you can compete in to get there badge. Also you get to choose a Pokémon and power them up by different ways that will help them evolve. Am going for all 8 gyms and so that means a TBR has to be made. Which could change at anytime since I have plenty of books that goes in each challenge.

First the Gyms:

pewter city

TBR: The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson. This might change because I have lots of first books in a series on my TBR pile.

Page Count: 486

cerulean city

TBR: The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay. I had to look on Goodreads to see if I had any books on my TBR to fit this challenge. A thing about me is I don’t cry reading books so this should be a fun experience.

Page Count: 434

vermillion city

TBR: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. This series has so much hype behind it and there is only two books out. Should be interesting to see if I enjoy it as so many people seem to.

Page Count: 416

celadon city

TBR: Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. These is funny because I’ve been meaning to read this for a good while but haven’t gotten to. So well see.

Page Count:320

fuschia city

FUSCHIA GYM: Prefect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. I have been wanting to read this book forever and so now is the time to read it once and for all.

Page Count: 359

saffron city

TBR: The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan. This has gargoyles in it and set in France so sign me up. I love the concept and haven’t read a gargoyle book since switched so am excited.

Page Count: 341

cinnabar island

TBR: Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. I’ve been needing to read this so bad and am going to try and get it done. Should be a fun experience since I love retellings.

Page Count:388

viridian city

TBR: Blood Red Road by Moira Young. This has southern writing to it which I haven’t read before.

Page Count:459

So yeah am excited for this and getting through some of my TBR pile. All but A Court of Thorn and Roses is not part of my physical TBR so am hype for this. Plus I have Bout of Books coming so this could help with that.

So I said I was going to read some contemporary last week and I did for one day. Then I don’t know what happened. Okay I know what happened I got detracted. By my TBR. I for some reason decided it was time to organize my ebooks, hardbacks, and paperbacks. So now that I’ve started that projector takes a lot of time.

However I did start a new book. Which I really shouldn’t for I have enough am currently reading. But I was in the mood to read Pushing the Limits Katie McGarry and that’s what am doing.

So sorry RYBAT for trying not so much. Getting distracted happens a lot with me and my reading suffers.

Bout of books Update

Yes am doing Bout of books 15 it’s a new year and a good time to do a read a thon. If you don’t know what the bout of books is will The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 4th and runs through Sunday, January 10th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 15 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team.

So my goal is to pretty much page count then finishing books. If I can get over 1000 words I’ll be very proud. Plus as a. Bonus of getting though 3 books. So here’s being hopefully. My book choices will probably be short books to help me out.

Day 1:

Books: Eternity in Death, Reboot

Page count:3 hours 27mins, 28

Finished: Eternity in Death

Challenge: hosted by Lori @ Writing Your Own Fairy Tale

would you rather lend to someone who dog-ears pages or to someone who reads with cheesy Cheetos fingers? Dog-ears for I don’t mind them to me they add character.

would you rather be able to meet one character of your choice or meet one author of your choice? Character cause either way I would probably be tongue tied. So it would be a hi then bye.

would you rather never be allowed in a book store again or never be allowed in a library again? Book store because I love buying books to much, and I want a library.

would you rather have to choose one of your favorite character to die in their book or have to pick one of your favorite couple break up in their book? Well since most of the time my favorite characters are side characters. They get killed off anyway.

Would you rather be required to read Twlight once a year for the rest of your life or The Scarlet Letter once a year for the rest of your life? Twlight since I’ve read the series and don’t mind going back into the world of sparkle vampires.

Now that i rushed on about the bout of books now its time to say what i’ll be doing. I haven’t had the best luck when it comes to read-a-thon lately. So I want to read over 1000 words and i may be a little crazy but want to read a 100 pages a day. Yes am crazy but i hey i have to at least try. I will not be making a TBR because they never work for me, so i’ll be reading whatever i want to.

So these are my goals for the bout of books 11 more page count and hopefully finish good amount of my books in my TBR. Can’t wait for August 18 and get this read-a-thon. Good luck to those doing it and lets hope i keep up with my goals.

Happy Reading…
