Summary: People are complex.

Love a double-edgePeople are complex.

Love a double-edged sword.

And when it comes to a broken heart, there are no rules, only time…

For the past eight years, Julien Thornton has been living with a secret. One that only a handful of people know about.

To the outside world, he has it all.

A thriving career. A loving husband. And a face that the American public fell for by the millions, on a reality show that inadvertently saved his life.

But behind the shine of celebrity, behind the easygoing nature, a crippling truth fills Julien with pain and self-loathing. It’s a truth that he fights to overcome daily with the help of his husband, Joel Priestley, and now their boyfriend, Robbie Bianchi.

But unlike Priest, Robbie doesn’t know what he’s helping Julien to fight. He doesn’t know what Julien did all those years ago. And with the anniversary of his sister’s death fast approaching, the time for explanations is running out.

And thus the question: will the princess be able to forgive the prick as the priest once did?

Only time will tell.

Top Ten Tueday

TOPIC: Ten Books Every Non Instant Love Fans Should Read:

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowel

I love this book for the fact that Levi and Cath are both goofy people and made for each other. Though that road to that conclusion was long and bumpy.

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder

Valek is pretty much the main reason to read this book. He’s pretty much a jack of all trades and handsome as hell to boot. Which is probably why Yelena (and me of course) fell for him.

Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

I want a Sam for he plays music, a great listener, and understanding. Which is all Ana needed after living the way she did before coming to Heart and meeting him. Plus no love triangle which is rare in young adult.

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

I laugh every time I think of Tucker and Clara. How they went from some what rivals since there first meet wasn’t the best. To becoming a couple and being really romantic with each other. I don’t know why but they are one of my top couples in my head.

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

Arin and Kestrel have a complicated relationship status. Which is probably why I root for them so much to get together in the end. Politics and war be damned.

Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers

All the books in the His Fair Assassin trilogy have those slow burning love. It helps with the fact that politics, war, and past memories for the girls keep the romances on the back burner.

Legend by Marie Lu

I love Days and Junes relationship in these book. For one hated while the other wasn’t complete sure. Then they cam together thanks to a common goal and fell for each other.

Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong

Love how these story has one story but pretty much told in two sister point of views. Along with that is two different romances that seem to go different ways to. I simply love Moria and Gavril for the banter and just them makes me love reading about them.

Defiance by C.J. Redwine

This is more of a search for father than a romantic story which is always okay in my book. Rachel the hardheaded red head and Logan the mechanic who try to keep his distance. Plus dealing with the deadly things in the Wasteland sounds like a good start to a romance to me.

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

Not many people like how the relationship happen but I did. I loved how it was total friends zone to in a relationship. All the sweet moments just adds up to me a really good start to finish for there relationship.

I love how the romances are built up like good solids one should. I know am not the only one that rolls there eyes at the how predictability, and instant some relationships in books appear. So am always happy and love the book more when there is more a build up then the boom.

Top 10 (or More Like 8) Books on my TBR Summer

First note is that I have already done my summer TBR which is mostly series however this is a different one. The first six are library books I need to get through before there due soon. Also I don’t read seasonally so my reading will be whatever. So here are some books I know i’ll be reading sooner.

1.The Warrior Heir by Cinda Williams Childs

I’ve been wanting to get into more fantasy and I’ve heard good things about this series. I don’t know what this is about exactly, but am looking forward to it.

2. Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepard

I don’t believe how long this book is actual taking me. Am enjoying it however I keep putting it down and sometimes pick something else. I need to crack down and read this because I’ve already renew it once I don’t believe I can do it a second time.

3.The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

I’ve been wanting to read this since Little Book Owl talked about it on her Youtube. So am excited when I found this in the library. Though let me tell you looking for this book was a pain in the butt. I don’t like hunting for books because I always get confused and turned around.

4. Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman

I’ve wanted this book since I first heard about it the concept is so interesting how its Hitler’s niece and a Jewish reporter. What the what. So yeah like I said I can’t wait to read this since the second book is already out and its time for me to get on this wagon.

5. Between the Devil the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke

OMG if I try to tell you how long I’ve been wanting to read this book. Again this book is a want to read since I first heard about it. Having your next door the devil why wouldn’t I want to read it. All I can picture is a dark haired guy with piecing dark eyes and has sarcasm for days. Can’t wait.

6. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz

I have not heard one bad thing about this book since it came out this year. Everyone loves it, and I can’t wait to dive into it my self. Also a fact I didn’t know is that there is LGBT which makes this my first. Excited to experience it and the story.

7. Fairest by Marissa Meyers

I don’t know why I keep putting this book off. Okay that’s a lie I do know and its fairly simply one. I really don’t like Queen Luvanna and I rage every time she’s mentioned in the Luna Chronicles. So having a short story that I’ll probably rage through is not something I want to do right now. Plus Winter is still months away so I kind a want to wait.

8. Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay

I love my fairytales retelling and I don’t believe  I’ve read a Beauty and Beat one yet. Plus have heard nothing but great things about this book, and so am excited to see what the hype is all about.

So that’s list it’s not exactly ten but these are the my top reads I want to get to soon. Even if six of them are library I still want to read them even if am on a deadline. So hope you enjoy the rest of your day and let me know your top ten. Or 8 like me.

Happy reading.

Bookish Scenarios Tag

1.You have to rid of all the books (My parents would be happy) and you can only keep one from each of these genres-contemporary, fantasy, non-fiction, and one other genre of your choosing. What do you keep?

Contemporary: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

Fantasy: Defiance by C.J. Redwine

Non-fiction: Between Shades of Grey by Ruta Sepetys (If I actual had this book but then again I don’t have any non-fiction).

2.You’re at the bookstore and you hear a teenager telling their mom they don’t like to read, but their mom says they need to pick something. You walk over and recommend a book you think is great for people who aren’t big on reading-what book is it? It would have to be any fairytale retellings. Maybe the teen would relate more if they read a story about Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast or one of the many others.

3.You’re not felling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in great mood? I have two. I love rereading Anne and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Then there is any Morgan Matson I always enjoy her stories.

4.You go back in time for a day to your teenage years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading? Twilight most likely.

5. Your friend surprises you with 4 day-trip and have 1 hour to pack. What book do you bring to read on the way. One of my chunky books because it makes the trip a little faster.

6. Your house been robbed! Don’t worry everyone is safe, but your bookshelf has been raided. What’s the book you really hope is safe? I don’t have anything really that special where I would care.

7. Your friend borrows a book and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) just pretend you haven’t noticed. b) ask them to repurchase it or c) secretly do the same thing of their. Or d) curse them silently and never let them burrow any of my book again. I choose d all the way. lol.

Its been forever since I actual done a tag and you’ll probably see plenty of these. My reading has slowed down again and though am doing read a thons this month. Its still nothing special. Also I’ve been thinking more about writing so yeah that should be interesting. Until next post thanks for viewing.

Reader Promblems

Hosted by: About to Read

1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?

I never do and start different books trying to see what is interesting.

2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?

It depends on if its to predictable that I don’t need to finish it because I know how this is going to end. If it’s just straight up not the best book I’ll still try to finish it and try not put myself in a slump.

3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?

Yes I just try to read more than one book and get through them as fast as I can. The good thing about my memory is that I can remember multiple book plots most of the time.

4. The covers of a series you love do.not. match. How do you cope?

I just do the thing I don’t like though is when they release a book that is not in the same format as my other ones in the series. The sizes bug the crap out of me and so me, and so I have to wait to match them in size. Ugh.

5. Every one ad there mother loves a book you really don’t like. What do you bond over with shared feelings?

I just say my opinion, and listen to others, and look for some middle ground.

6. You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?

I lucky enough never cried in public. However I get into books sometimes and forget my surrounds and start yelling at it.

7.  A squeal of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book? Skip the squeal? Try to find a synopsis on Goodreads? Cry in frustration?

I will try and re-read however the thing about re-reading for me is that I do remember some of it and lose interest in trying. I need a spark note for all books in a series thing it’ll make things so much easier.

8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. Burrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask.

I don’t have people who ask to burrow my book unless its my mom or a family friend and they both are good with books. Other than that I don’t know that many people who ask so I don’t deal with this problem.

9.Read ADD. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?

This is a funny question since all last month was like this. The way I got back into it is watched more tv, started drawing again, and watch BookTube. Just getting into another hobby usually helps me out.

10. There are so many new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?

I don’t get just released books in physical copies, however if I really want it and it’s not that expensive I e-book it. But that doesn’t happen very often.
